Terms of Service
The terms that govern your institution’s use of Instita OS.
1. Service & Licensing
Instita OS is licensed per institution on a subscription basis. The license covers the modules enabled on your plan for the licensed period.
Institution data is tenant-isolated: each institution operates within its own dedicated schema boundary and cannot access other tenants’ records.
2. Institutional Responsibilities
Institutions are responsible for the accuracy of data entered, the management of their own users and roles, and lawful handling of student and guardian information.
Administrator credentials must be kept confidential. Actions performed under institution accounts are the institution’s responsibility.
3. Acceptable Use
The platform must not be used for unlawful data processing, spam, credential sharing, or any activity that compromises platform availability or other tenants.
We may suspend access on material breach with prior notice, except where immediate action is required for security or legal compliance.
4. Data & Privacy
Institution data remains the institution’s property. We process it solely to provide the service, under our Privacy Policy and applicable Indian law including the DPDP Act, 2023.
5. Availability & Support
We maintain commercially reasonable uptime and provide human support over phone and email during business hours. Planned maintenance is notified in advance where feasible.
6. Termination & Export
On termination, institutions may request a full export of their data within a reasonable window. We do not hold institutional data hostage.
